Ms. Sarah Asif stands as a beacon of environmental stewardship and academic excellence, with her journey marked by a profound commitment to understanding and safeguarding our precious water resources. As an alumna of the International Visitor Leadership Program (IVLP) in 2022, Sarah’s pursuit of knowledge and innovation has led her to the forefront of environmental science and water resource management.

An interdisciplinary environmental scientist, Sarah’s research delves into the intricate relationship between human activities, land use patterns, and their impact on water quality and quantity. With a focus on crucial areas like agriculture and urbanization, she navigates the complexities of how these factors shape our water systems.

Currently serving as an Assistant Professor and core faculty member in the Environment, Water, and Disaster disciplines within the Department of Civil Engineering at the “National University of Computer and Emerging Sciences (FAST-NU),” Sarah’s expertise is harnessed to mold future environmental leaders. Her academic journey includes a B.E. in Civil Engineering from the University of Engineering & Technology, Lahore, and an MSc. in Environmental Management of Urban Land and Water from the University of Sheffield.

Her IVLP experience was a transformative chapter themed at ‘Improved Water Management, Distribution, and Pricing for Water Scarce Environments.’ This journey enriched her perspective on global water challenges and further ignited her dedication to crafting sustainable solutions.

Beyond academia, Sarah’s impact resonates through her woman-led business, Eco-Salvation. Embodying her ethos of environmental responsibility, the venture provides comprehensive environmental services spanning sustainability assessments, resource management, and eco-friendly solutions across industries. A standout element of Eco-Salvation’s approach is the innovative utilization of PET plastic to create high-quality eco-bricks, catalyzing plastic waste upcycling efforts.

With a team of experts and cutting-edge technology at her side, Sarah’s work embraces both consultancy on critical environmental matters and tangible contributions to a cleaner, greener future.
