ASGs improving mental health & well-being of trainees

While celebrating empowered communities through Alumni Small Grants (ASG), let us tell you about Dr. Bushra Yasmin’s venture. Dr. Bushra is Associate Professor of Economics at Fatima Jinnah Women University and is also a Fulbright alumna 2016-17 for Post-Doctorate from the Department of Economics, Harvard University, USA. Under her ASG, she has recently completed a grant project titled, “Post COVID-19 Mental Health and Wellbeing of Working Women”. With this grant and logistical support from her university, Dr. Bushra has conducted two extensive training workshops for working women (and men too). She has also prepared an ‘Employees Training Manual’ for creating awareness about post-pandemic precautionary SOPs in context of medical and mental health safeguards. Running a social media campaign was also part of her project.
Ms. Sehrish Haroon, one of workshop attendees shared, “The workshop was an enlightening experience given to working women quite well in time”.
We are so happy to see how our ASGs are casting positive impact on the recipients which obviously is never possible without our talented PUAN members.
