U.S. Awards Approx. Rs. 1.1 Bn for Cultural Heritage Projects

Did you know that the United States has awarded approximately 1.1 billion rupees for 30 cultural heritage projects across Pakistan? The historical Frere Hall in Karachi is one of them! Deputy Chief of Mission (DCM) Andrew Schofer visited the iconic Frere Hall building being restored through a $250,000 Ambassadors Fund for Cultural Preservation (AFCP) grant. The conservation project of the historic Frere Hall building will restore original elements and return the site to its full capacity and traditional glory. These efforts will ensure this Karachi landmark will serve the public well into the next century.
