Tech Craftiva: Empowering Women Through Skills and Technology

Under her community action project “Tech Craftiva,” funded by the Sister2Sister Exchange program, Anum Kabir, an alumna of Sister2Sister Exchange and Academy for Women Entrepreneurs (AWE), conducted a transformative 3-week training program for females in Muzaffarabad, Azad Jammu and Kashmir. The project aimed to empower participants with crochet skills, communication skills, leadership skills, and knowledge to leverage technology for business scaling.

The project culminated in a remarkable closing ceremony, where Anum Kabir showcased the remarkable financial sustainability achieved by the empowered females. Dr. Muhammad Naeem Khawaja, President of Pakistan U.S. Alumni Network North AJK Chapter, and Shahida Khalique, Executive Board Member of PUAN North AJK Chapter, graced the ceremony, commending the participants and providing motivation to utilize these acquired skills in their future endeavors.

Tech Craftiva’s holistic approach empowered women to embrace their creativity, cultivate leadership abilities, enhance communication skills, and harness technology to scale their businesses. Anum Kabir’s vision, combined with the support of the Sister2sister Exchange program, paved the way for a transformative journey, equipping participants with the necessary tools to thrive in their entrepreneurial pursuits.

Tech Craftiva celebrates the remarkable financial sustainability achieved by these empowered females and recognizes their potential as catalysts for positive change. It stands as a testament to the transformative power of education, skills development, and the unwavering spirit of women’s empowerment. Together, let us continue to support and uplift women, creating a more inclusive and prosperous future.
