Rashida Qureshi, HC member for PUAN Central Punjab Chapter and IVLP alumna, conducted an interactive session on workplace and online harassment at Aminah Protection and Learning Centre in Shahdara, Lahore.
The session was attended by young girls from marginalized communities who are receiving free vocational skills training at the center. The facilitator, Rashida Qureshi, stressed the importance of engaging participants and getting their feedback. She also conducted a practical exercise in which participants were divided into groups and given different case studies of workplace harassment. This exercise allowed participants to practice drafting formal complaints in cases of workplace harassment.
The issue of online harassment was also discussed in detail. Qureshi guided participants on how to protect themselves in online spaces, such as using strong passwords, two-factor authentication, and privacy settings on social media apps.
The session was well-received by participants, who said they learned a lot about how to protect themselves from harassment. They also appreciated the opportunity to interact with Qureshi and get her advice.
