Meet Our Inspiring Jiya whose Brother has Prominently Impacted Her Life

A true inspiration opens the door to success. In Jiya’s case, that inspiration is her brother Haresh Kumar (Previous YGD PUAN Jamshoro Chapter) whom she calls Baba Sain. When Jiya was preparing for her entrance test, he went on the Global UGRAD Fall 2017 program and at that time she decided to achieve the same, so she started her preparations from that point.

She achieved it in Spring 2020 and went to the U.S. to study for a semester at West Virginia University. It was a challenging time due to the pandemic and things suddenly switched to virtual mode, but she took it as a learning experience and developed a strategy that a country may use to combat such demanding situations. In 2021, she worked on CDI to raise Awareness of Article 19-A Right to Information. Along with her final semester project, Jiya did an internship under PUAN Summer Internship Program 2021 at Lincoln Corners Pakistan.

She recently graduated from Mehran University of Engineering and Technology Jamshoro with a 3rd position. On the next day of her final exams, she got appointed as Assistant Coordinator at Lincoln Corner Hyderabad, and interestingly, this year she has again joined PUAN Summer Internship Program 2022 as a Mentor. “The first step in my career development was UGRAD, more steps to come to reach my ultimate goals.” shared Jiya.
