Meet Farheen Nelson, an exceptional alumna of the English Access program from Bahawalpur. Her journey is a true testament to the power of determination and following one’s dreams.
In 2016, Farheen had the incredible opportunity to attend the South Asia Access Summer Camp in Turkey as a summer exchange participant. From there, her love for literature and poetry blossomed, and she knew she wanted to make a significant impact in the world of writing.
Fast forward to 2019, and Farheen achieved a major milestone by getting her first book published! This accomplishment fueled her passion for literature and inspired her to help others achieve their dreams too.
Driven by her vision to empower aspiring authors, Farheen founded “Quill n papyrus,” a publishing agency that provides a platform for emerging writers. But her journey didn’t stop there. She recognized the need for inclusivity in the literary world and took on a remarkable mission.
Farheen firmly believed that literature should be accessible to everyone, regardless of visual impairments. Hence, she decided to create Pakistan’s premier inclusive braille magazine! With inspiring success stories, short stories, and poetry from both sighted and visually impaired writers, the magazine celebrates creativity without bounds.
The launch of the inclusive braille magazine was met with widespread acclaim, and Farheen’s dedication to promoting braille literacy and empowering writers earned recognition from the literary and business communities alike.
Today, Farheen Nelson continues to make a profound impact through her work. Her journey from being a published author to the CEO of Quill n papyrus and the creator of the inclusive braille magazine serves as an inspiration to all those who believe in the power of inclusivity and the pursuit of dreams. With passion, determination, and belief in oneself, anything is possible!
