Quratulain Hussain, our IVLP Alumna 2019, is a permanent faculty member at the Department of Teacher Education, University of Karachi. She has recently launched an online training program through the platform of Global Creative Hub under her Alumni Small Grant (AGS) titled “Teaching Resilience through Digital Collaboration”. The initiative has been taken supported by U.S. Mission in Pakistan in partnership with the Pakistan U.S. Alumni Network (PUAN) from November 2021 – January 2022. Participants from public sector universities and colleges from Pakistan and South Asia are participating in the trainings. The training model is based on the dissemination of the key concepts and best practices on Teaching Resilience by experts where participants take key insights and cascade their learning at their respective institutions or organizations, thereby impacting over 1000+ youth. Under this ASG Project, a resource manual will also be shared with participants of the TRDC project. This will contain links to activities, resources, recorded sessions of the TRDC training, etc. Partab, one of the participants shared, “To some, resilience is a sort of “miracle drug” personality trait, something that can heal all wounds and right all wrongs”. Saira, one of the participants shared her feedback in the following words: “I gained important positive insights on practicing resilience.”
