ASG on Post COVID Mental Health of Working Women Concludes

“It is great to be here with a diverse group of participants for this two-week intensive learning program funded through the Pakistan-U.S. Alumni Network – PUAN and supported by U.S. Mission in Pakistan”, shared Linnette Franco, Assistant Cultural Affairs Officer, U.S. Embassy Islamabad while speaking on the occasion of virtual closing ceremony of Alumni Small Grant #ASG on ‘Post COVID-19 Mental Health and Wellbeing of Working Women’. Linnette further expressed that in last eight years, PUAN has supported more than 200 of these small grants and empowered its alumni of USG exchange programs to understanding about the United States & the American people and strengthening mutual understanding between the two countries.

Led by Dr. Bushra Yasmin, Associate Professor of Economics and Faculty Advisor, Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences, FJWU & Fulbright Scholar, the initiative has successfully trained around 150 participants in two groups for 5 days each on “Post COVID-19 Mental Health and Wellbeing of Working Women” under Alumni Small Grant. “It was challenging to work on this much needed topic virtually, but the excellent coordination helped us in acquiring enthusiastic response from the participants”, shared Dr. Bushra while speaking at the closing ceremony.
