Under today’s profile sharing for ‘Celebration of 75 Years of Pak-U.S. Bilateral Ties’, meet our alumnus Tarique Hafeez who went to the U.S. on UGRAD Exchange Program (Fall 2021). Studying abroad is usually a life-changing experience from enhancing your global network to experiencing a new culture. Same goes for Tarique Hafeez whose UGRAD journey enabled him to know the unbreakable ties between human beings across the borders.
“I feel like it was during my time in the U.S. that I realized that the world is divided by geography, but it is united by the feelings, emotions, and ideas,” says Hafeez. This exchange program experience made Tarique learn about politics and history on a new level of significance with the amazing faculty at the Department of History of Shawnee State University. Experiencing and visiting deeply meaningful historical places provides an experience that is matchless. “This UGRAD experience gave me many friends and plentiful memories which I can cherish throughout the lifetime,” says Tarique. Tarique Hafeez truly acknowledges the cultural element that has increased his global perspective and broadened his knowledge of the world that exists outside his home. He is grateful to the U.S. Mission in Pakistan for giving him an opportunity to experience this beneficial exchange program.
