‘Thespianz Corona Aid’ Becomes Helping Hand for Hundreds of Pandemic Affectees

Faisal Malik, our PUAN and John F. Kennedy Center for Performing Arts alumnus, is the founder of Thespianz Foundation, a theater company working to improve the lives of the most underserved populations in rural Pakistan through socially-conscious performing arts.

Thespianz Foundation features a strong community of performers, writers, directors, and creative heads that utilize social theater, string puppetry, workshops, training, and lectures to reach out to marginalized communities. These performing arts create powerful tools to convey topics of awareness, such as the alarming COVID-19 pandemic.

Faisal has established a dedicated website titled ‘Thespianz Corona Aid’ to collect donations, donating PKR 1 million to over 300 families in Karachi, in the form of PKR 2,500 and PKR 5,000 cash grants. A public service message appealing for donations also aired on Geo News and Dunya News.

We are super proud of our PUAN alumni and their efforts!
