Shehnaz Zakia, Tech Women Fall, 22 Alumna has recently received “Everest Climate Action Award 2023” during “South Asian Climate Action Conference” in Kathmandu, Nepal.
As the sole winner from Pakistan, the award recognizes her exceptional contributions to raising awareness among local communities and students in Pakistan about climate change and supporting efforts to mitigate its impact. These awareness activities were part of the seed grant project Agahi, a climate change awareness campaign founded by Tech Women and International Institute of Education, USA during Tech Women fall 2022 program.
Shehnaz Zakia is currently serving Pakistan Museum of Natural History/ Pakistan Science Foundation as Associate Curator.
