In today’s world, it’s crucial to assert yourself when faced with workplace harassment. We are thrilled to announce the successful completion of the PUAN KP Chapter Activity titled “Assertiveness Training for Workplace Harassment” on July 15, 2023 which was carried out by PUAN alumna Zainab Khalid. This incredible event was organized in collaboration with the Student Counseling Center at Ayub Medical College, Abbottabad.
The main objective of this workshop was to provide participants with the necessary tools, strategies, and confidence to effectively address and prevent harassment in their professional lives. Throughout the workshop, our dedicated facilitators guided over 50 participants through engaging discussions and real-life scenarios, ensuring a hands-on learning experience.
To make the workshop even more interactive, we included two stimulating activities: “How about emotions?” and “How to speak assertively with the alleged harasser.” These activities encouraged active participation and helped participants develop a deeper understanding of their emotions and effective communication techniques.
By the end of the workshop, participants left equipped with invaluable skills that will empower them to combat workplace harassment. We firmly believe that creating a safe and inclusive work environment starts with each individual’s willingness to take a stand.
