Ms. Marvel’s poster has been revealed, and guess whose artwork has been included? Our very talented Fulbright alumna and digital artist, Shehzil Malik’s! Originally designed by Marvel Studios, the poster’s background collage is created by Shehzil, highlighting superhero Kamala’s heritage. Ms. Marvel is a new, original series introducing Kamala Khan, a Muslim/Pakistani American teenager growing up in Jersey City. Shehzil holds an MFA in visual communication design (2012-2014) from the Rochester Institute of Technology. She is an internationally acclaimed digital artist who addresses issues including gender inequality, taboos, and women’s attire.
