#SheInspires: Sharmeen Obaid-Chinoy is a journalist, filmmaker, and a 2016 Pakistani alumna of the USG sponsored Transmedia Filmmaking program. Throughout her career, she has won two Academy and seven Emmy awards. In 2015 she won an Academy Award for her documentary “A Girl in the River: The Price of Forgiveness.” Her films often highlight gender inequality and celebrate the culture and arts of Pakistan.
