Qurat ul Ain Hussain is our IVLP Alumna from 2019 batch. She has recently completed an Alumni Small Grant project titled “The TRDC – Teaching Resilience Through Digital Collaboration Program” funded by US Mission in Pakistan in partnership with Pakistan-US Alumni Network (PUAN). Under this project, Qurat ul Ain launched an online training program through the platform of Global Creative Hub under her ASG. Through this virtual program, which is mainly for college and university teachers, Qurat ul Ain highlighted the importance of learning the necessary skills to teach and practice resilience to youth. Participants gained insights and engaged in trainings by expert national and international speakers.
As an educator and teacher, Qurat ul Ain always feels enlighten to make a significant difference in the teachers’ community. The TRDC program helped Qurat ul Ain to connect teacher and educators around the world and provide them with a platform to learn, experience, and collaborate. She hopes to keep on working for the community and launching more of such projects in the future. In terms of background, Qurat ul Ain Hussain got married at the age of 17 and embraced motherhood at 18. She pursued her dream of getting education and didn’t let early marriage become a hurdle in her academic and professional journey. These days, she works as a full-time faculty member at a public sector university. Having worked with at-risk youth for more than a decade, she has mentored, trained, and empowered hundreds of young people and teachers. Girls’ empowerment, peace, education, and community service work are her passions. She is also recipient of several global scholarships, have extensive work experience in the fields of e-learning, global citizenship, social media activism, early childhood education, and girls’ education.
