PUANforPakistan: Webinar on Virtual Education, Remote Learning during COVID-19 (For Teachers and Students)

The U.S. Mission in Pakistan in collaboration with the Pakistan-U.S. Alumni Network (PUAN) has launched a virtual series of discussions on topics and themes catering to the needs and interests of more than 32,000 alumni across Pakistan. Under its series of #PUANforPakistan, PUAN conducted a webinar titled, “Virtual Education, Remote Learning during COVID-19 (For Teachers and Students)”on Thursday, July 02, 2020 at 04:00 PM via Facebook live.

Panelists for the session included:

● Khadija Bakhtiar, Fulbright alumna, CEO, Teach for Pakistan, PUAN Islamabad Chapter

● Mr. Faisal Shahzad Khan, IVLP alumnus, Coordinator, Head, Department of Shariah and Law, Assistant Professor, Islamia College, Peshawar, Former President, PUAN KP Chapter

● Mahvesh Ali Khan, IVLP alumna, Lecturer, FAST, University of Peshawar, Founder, Ra’ana Welfare Trust, PUAN KP Chapter

The session was moderated by:
● Dr. Afshan Huma, PELI, USAID alumna, Assistant Professor, Allama Iqbal Open University, PUAN Islamabad Chapter

Overall, the session explored the various dimensions, challenges, scope and future of virtual education in the context of COVID-19. Towards the end of the session, the panelists responded to the queries of viewers.
