PUAN Central Punjab Chapter was delighted to bring alumni back together and celebrate their fond memories of exchange programs in a recently held reunion at Pearl Continental Hotel Lahore. U.S. Consul General William Makaneole graced the event as the chief guest. While speaking to the alumni he appreciated them for the great work they are doing and shared that “Each one of you is a testament to the bond between our two countries.”
PUAN Country President Syed Khurram Gillani and Chapter President Iqra Haris delivered speeches followed by a panel discussion following the theme “Environmental Stability”. They all emphasized its importance and shared the methods through which environmental protection can be ensured. Deputy Public Affairs Officer Karl Rogers and Provincial Alumni Coordinator U.S. Consulate General Lahore Jamal Ghazanfar also attended the event.
Awards were given to the respective board members for their continued commitment to helping the leadership to organize, accommodate and plan chapter activities. Two PUAN leaders Farhan Riaz and Naureel Abbas were given emerging leader awards for their work on environmental sustainability.
Assistant Alumni Outreach Officer (Punjab) Ashab Hassan Lodhi gave a presentation on the significance of the Alumni Small Grants (ASG) program and how to utilize these grants to make an impact on communities.
The audience was completely enchanted by a mystical journey through the Sufi music performance by Wahab Shah. The evening culminated in a beautiful song sung by Nadeem Abbas Loonaywala. The event had sponsorship from Parkview City and Marina Homes. Everyone who attended the event thoroughly enjoyed it and was able to catch up with old friends and made some new ones.
