Entries open for Peace Photography Competition 2016. 

This is an initiative of Global Undergraduate Semester Exchange Program alumnus, Noman Sajjad, who wants to highlight colors of peace and optimism from within the community.  Talking about the motivation behind the competition, he said, ‘The purpose of Peace Photography Competition is to encourage the community to focus on peace and the positive happenings in our communities, capture that with their lens and share it with the world!’ 

Sajjad is presently working at the Peace-building Department of Diocese of Raiwind – Church of Pakistan

What we require
Theme: PEACE.

Description
The Diocese of Raiwind peacebuilding department encourages the community to focus on peace and the positive happenings in our communities, capture it with the lens of your phones/cameras and share it with the rest to communicate this strongly to our community, media and to the public at large.

Photos must include a caption, which includes a description of what is going on in the photo, who is involved, where it was taken, and how it is a part of or relates to Peace. Photos should “tell the story” of Peace.

Instruction:
– The photo submitted must be your own work.
– The photo you submit must not have been published elsewhere or have won a prize in any other photographic competition.
– The photo have been taken with the permission of the subject and do not infringe the copyright of any third party or any laws.
– Each applicant may submit max. 1 photo in high-resolution jpeg format.
– Send your picture along with a brief description and subject in the title, your name, address, telephone number, date and location of where the photograph was taken.

How to submit?
Accepted formats: high quality JPG and JPEG
Photos must each be an original submission (submitted by photographer).
To submit a photo, please email at info@dorcop.org with all the information required and attach photo.

What Winners get?
1st, 2nd and 3rd prize winners will receive a cash prize, certificate and publication at Diocese of Raiwind’s website, FB page and newsletter. Also from all entries, the best 10 photos will be part of our Peace Exhibition and will be showcased at a subsequent special event in Diocese.

Deadline:
The submission period ends on 15 February 2016. (11:59 p.m.)
