U.S. Consulate General Karachi and the Pakistan U.S. Alumni Network (PUAN) organized the first regional reunion for the Sindh and Baluchistan Alumni Chapters Nov. 23 in Karachi. The reunion attracted more than 700 attendees. Alumni shared success stories, presented about their current activities, and networked with their peers. Chief Guest U.S. Ambassador Richard Olson praised the work Pakistani alumni are doing in their communities throughout Sindh and Baluchistan. Comedian Danish Ali and pop singer Saleem Javed energized the audience with performances, and the reunion received widespread media coverage.
Pakistan-U.S. Alumni Network (PUAN) is an association of U.S. exchange alumni who are committed to making meaningful contributions to Pakistan and comprise of current and former Pakistani participants of U.S. federal government-sponsored exchange programs.
