Global UGRADPK participant Muazzam made a lasting impact on Marina mayor Bruce Carlos Delgado while volunteering at Fort Ord National Monument in his California host community. In addition to his mayoral duties, Delgado works as a botanist doing habitat restoration and oversaw Muazzam’s community service clean-up of the monument. “He asked many questions about the national parks of Pakistan. By working with him I got the chance to represent my country and build good relationships.”
