On October 26, a team from Discovering New Artists (DNA), an organization run by Mujtaba Zaidi (2011 Global UGrad alumnus), visited two underserved schools to conduct a creative writing competition called “Jeet ke Parhao.”  The project aims to instill critical thinking skills and foster imaginative expression among underprivileged children in Lahore, with support from the Pakistan-U.S. Alumni Network’s (PUAN) Alumni Small Grants program.  Before conducting the competition at each school, the DNA team explained the concepts of creative writing to the students, who participated enthusiastically in the event.  Subsequent “Jeet ke Parhao” competitions will be run throughout the fall in welfare and under-resourced schools across the Lahore area.
