The Pakistan-U.S Alumni Network (PUAN) Karachi Chapter recently organized a heart-warming activity at Edhi Orphanage on the 3rd day of Eid-ul-Fitar, 2023. The event was a resounding success, with PUAN members bringing gifts and spending quality time with the orphan children.
Led by Chapter President Mushtaq Sarki, a delegation of PUAN members visited the Edhi Orphanage located at Edhi Village on Gaddap Superhighway in Karachi. The members spent the entire day with the orphan children, bringing gifts such as toys, food, chocolates, balloons, bats, balls, and dolls. The children were overjoyed and excited to receive these gifts from the PUAN team.
In addition to bringing gifts, the PUAN team also played cricket with the kids, bringing smiles to their faces and fostering a sense of camaraderie between the PUAN members and the children. The event was made even more special by the presence of Chairman Edhi Foundation Mr. Faisal Edhi and his son Saad Edhi, who welcomed the PUAN team to the orphanage.
PUAN President Mushtaq Sarki spoke to the media, emphasizing the importance of showing love and attention to these children who are not orphaned but are in fact, a part of our own family. He stated that PUAN believes these kids are the future and they will continue to visit and support them.
The event was a touching gesture by PUAN, reminding us all of the importance of giving back to the community and showing love and kindness to those in need. The photos captured during the event showed the joy and happiness on the faces of the children and the PUAN team, making it a memorable and heart-warming experience for all involved.
