The Pakistan-U.S. Alumni Network’s 13th annual meeting of National Executive Committee concluded on Wednesday, May 18, 2022 with a commitment to enhance people-to-people ties between the countries. Mr. Ray Castillo, Minister Counselor for Public Affairs at the U.S. Embassy in Pakistan, congratulated committee members for leading the largest alumni network funded by the U.S. Department of State. He praised the group’s leadership team for continuing to work despite the challenges presented by the global pandemic. Mr. Syed Khurram Abbas Gillani, the president of the alumni network, appreciated efforts by alumni network and Embassy officials for gathering the executive committee members and providing them the means to contribute towards a better society. During the two-day conference, 54 National Executive Committee members representing the alumni network’s 14 chapters participated sessions that will help them effectively implement their respective chapters’ activities. The meet-up ended with a networking dinner allowing participants to meet and interact with senior officials from the U.S. Embassy and the U.S. Educational Foundation in Pakistan.
