Future belongs to those who believe in beauty of their dreams, says our inspiring English Works Alumna Warda Butt. Warda Butt is our English Works Alumna. She is an energetic, hardworking, and ambitious individual, who believes that luck sometimes pays off, but consistent efforts always pay off.
She belongs to a middle-class family living in suburbs area of Karachi. It was challenging for her father to provide quality education to all his children but he never let financial barriers derail wishes and dreams of any of his children. Due to her father’s visionary approach and the way he led the family, Wardah and her siblings gained the level of education, which is very rare for girls in their surroundings.
Wardah faced many backlashes, demotivation, cyber bullying, and major accidents. While thriving on her road to success, Wardah found many people who were completely against her career growth and never wanted her to be an inspiring and successful woman. But it was generous support of Wardah’s parents that never let her down.
Warda Butt is the Founder of Warda Butt Foundation. She joined Knok Knok as Director Human Resources. She is a social activist and certified photojournalist. She started her career at the age of 20 from the Development in Literacy Foundation. At the age of 22, she got elected as Youth Group Director of Pakistan United States-Alumni Network with the highest votes. At the age of 24, she was elected as Vice President of Pakistan United States-Alumni Network. At the same age, she founded the Warda Butt Foundation which aims to help citizens, empower Pakistani youth, expand their leadership potential, and inculcate inside them a sense of community service.
Warda points out that the youth of Pakistan have enormous enthusiasm and drive but are rarely given the opportunities to channel their energies into positive endeavors. She has been a part of various volunteer activities like SOS, Azme Naujawan, Pakistan Youth Alliance etc.
Warda has the dream to bring a change in everyone’s lives and let all discover the purpose of their lives. Her dreams and the ways to follow it makes her life a rigorous and full of learning journey with an impact that inspires. She has participated in several programs for orphanage houses, old-age houses, disabled persons, and transgender to facilitate and raise the awareness of their rights. At the young age of 25, she became the Director of Knok Knok Pvt. Ltd. Warda says, “I have broken the barrier in front of most of the girls. The future belongs to those who believe in the beauty of their dreams.” More power to you, Warda.
