Indus Delta Mangroves, a Beautiful Part of Ecosystem!

Thanks WWF-Pakistan (World Wildlife Fund – Pakistan) for hosting the @USCons Karachi for a tree planting and teaching us about the importance of the Indus delta mangroves. Did You Know? 1 hectare of mangroves along the Sindh coastline supports 1000 kg of fish, 25 kg of shrimp, and 15 kg of crab? Human encroachment, deforestation, untreated industrial water, and a decrease of flow of freshwater are threatening these vital forests that sequester 2 to 4 times more carbon than regular forests. Let’s all do our part to preserve this important and beautiful part of the ecosystem and fight climate change!
