Gulan Pari is UGrad alumna of 2022 from South Dakota University U.S. She has been an active member of PUAN Karachi ever since her return from the exchange program. Gulan is the co-founder of Healthy Earth Organization (HEO) aimed at empowering women on Sexual Rights and Reproductive Health (SRHR) and eradicating menace of malnutrition.
During the recent floods, Gulan initiated a Dignity Campaign to help affectee menstruators to menstruate safely with dignity. “Periods do not stop during floods, and menstrual hygiene is something that is often overlooked”, she shared. With her networking skills, she has provided menstrual and hygiene kits to around 1000 menstruators. Under her campaign on Menstrual Hygiene Management, her organization has trained dozens of women on menstrual hygiene management which is still considered a taboo topic.
