Academy and two-time Emmy Award-winning documentary filmmaker & Fulbrighter Haya Fatima Iqbal, is back at it again! We are thrilled to announce that her film ‘As Far As They Can Run’ has been nominated for an Emmy in the Outstanding Short Documentary Category. This powerful film follows the inspiring journey of children with intellectual disabilities in and around Mirpurkhas, as they become extraordinary athletes through unwavering dedication and love from their coaches. Haya has been part of this remarkable project as Field Producer.

During the film, one of the kids, Sana Kapri, had the incredible opportunity to light the torch at the Special Olympics in Berlin, adding to the film’s profound impact.

As a Field Producer, Haya felt immensely proud of her contribution to the film’s success. However, she acknowledged that this achievement was the result of the hard work and dedication of many others involved in making the film a reality.

The team’s efforts also brought the film to screens in Pakistan through their collaboration with the Documentary Association of Pakistan, further spreading the message of hope and determination.

The recognition of her work through the Emmy nomination serves as a testament to their impactful storytelling and dedication to shedding light on inspiring stories of perseverance and triumph.
