Yasir Hussein Turi, a Fulbright alumus in the Foreign Language Teaching Assistant (FLTA) program, shared his exchange experience on February 15 with students from Edwardes College and Islamia College University. He talked about how participating in the program changed his prior-held misconceptions and stereotypes about Americans. The presentation provoked a lively discussion with the students, who were interested in all aspects of American culture and society. Yasir encouraged them to apply for exchange programs and shared some valuable tips on how to prepare the personal statement /essay part of application.
