Rabeea Anwar is our alumna of the Global UGrad Pakistan Program. She went to the United States in Spring 2022 and feels proud to be the first girl from her family and the first student from her department who scored this prestigious scholarship. Rabeea Anwar is a final year undergrad student of Public Administration, a community activist working against the menace of child abuse, and a motivational blogger motivating the students around her to learn to dream.
She studied at the University of Northern IOWA and had a great learning experience. She got the most out of her journey and had multiple experiences including good academic results, being a very active student, working with multiple volunteer groups, international student blogger, and traveling.
Currently, she is running a non-profit student organization in Pakistan for the last two years. Being a student with a major eye disease and a part-time job, it wasn’t an easy job for her to do but she managed. “In the U.S., I realized the importance of volunteering and observed that people don’t seek any monetary benefit from volunteering, instead they want good for their community and country. I aim to bring that motivation to Pakistan as well,” shared Rabeea.
Ever since her return, she feels more motivated to voluntarily work against the issue of child abuse despite all the hurdles. She is looking forward to making her community and country a safe place for kids. She is grateful to the Exchange program for strengthening her will.
