In his recent trip to Pakistan, Mr. Ethan Rosenzweig, U.S. Deputy Assistant Secretary for Academic Programs at U.S. Department of State, met with various alumni of the Pakistan-United States Alumni Network (PUAN). The key moments included a dialogue with the chancellors and rectors of universities of the twin cities, a roundtable discussion with a group of community college administrators, as well as a meeting with entrepreneurs. He also had a lunch with the alumni of various academic exchange programs funded by the United States Government. During these meetings, Mr. Rosenzweig explored areas of common interests and sought proposals for strengthening people-to-people ties between the two countries by exploring cooperation in various walks of life and academic initiatives. The alumni elaborated on the life-changing impacts of their respective exchange journeys, and suggested the United States extend its outreach efforts to recruit new participants in Pakistan even further.
