CDA Angela Virtually Meets Newly Elected PUAN NEC Leadership

Ms. Angela Aggeler, Chargé d’Affaires, U.S. Embassy, Islamabad congratulated the newly elected PUAN National Executive Committee (NEC) 2021-2022 representing 14 chapters. In her keynote remarks during their first virtual meet-up today as a group, she stated, ‘PUAN indeed is the world’s largest alumni network whose members are doing tremendous work which is applauded across the globe. U.S. agencies are collaborating with Pakistani organizations and with this new leadership, we look forward to taking up the friendship between both countries to next levels”. She participated in a Q&A with NEC members, detailing the priorities of the new U.S. administration, potential avenues of collaboration, and the strength of the U.S.-Pakistani bilateral relationship.

PUAN members, through online voting, elected their leadership (President, Vice-President, Youth Group Director and Exchange Ambassador) for 14 chapters; forming the new two year NEC. ‘U.S. Mission Pakistan appreciates the time, work, and thought that you put into PUAN, and our shared efforts to continue to strengthen the relationship between our people’ said Ms. Linnette Franco, Assistant Cultural Affairs Officer, U.S. Embassy, Islamabad while giving the opening remarks.
