We are thrilled to announce that Ayesha Abbasi,
Vice President of Pakistan-U.S. Alumni Network (PUAN) – North AJK Chapter,
recently represented Pakistan at the second #HackCorruption event hosted by Accountability Lab in Kathmandu, Nepal.
During the event, Ayesha had the opportunity to
work with a diverse team comprised of members from Pakistan, Nepal, India, and
Bangladesh. Together, they developed a cutting-edge technological solution
aimed at tackling the pervasive issue of corruption. Their proposal, known as
“Know Your Parliament,” focuses on increasing transparency in
governance and decreasing the gap between parliamentarians and common people by
leveraging technological tools.
The team’s innovative solution was met with high
praise from both judges and fellow participants at the #hackathon2023 event. With the results set to be announced on May 8th, Ayesha and her
team eagerly await the outcome of their hard work and dedication.
Congratulations, Ayesha, on your amazing work and
for representing Pakistan so well on the international stage!
