Harassment is a pervasive issue in our society that affects individuals in all walks of life. It is a problem that can cause physical, emotional, and psychological harm to its victims, making it necessary to address and combat.
Recently, Syed Waqi ul Hassan and Saima Ejaz, Honorary Counselors from the AJK North Chapter, hosted an informative session on “Coping Strategies for Harassment.” The session aimed to equip PUAN alumni with the necessary knowledge and tools to effectively address this important issue. The session covered a range of topics, including harassment, bullying, legalities, and coping mechanisms.
Over 50 attendees, including both alumni and non-alumni, participated in the session. The guest speaker, Zulqarnain Naqvi, Executive Board Member of PUAN AJK North Chapter and a Senior Advocate Supreme Court, shared valuable information on legal laws and coping with harassment. His expertise in the field provided attendees with a comprehensive understanding of the legal aspects of harassment and how to cope with it.
The session was an insightful and informative experience that allowed participants to understand the different forms of harassment and the methods to cope with it. Attendees were able to learn about their legal rights and the available avenues for recourse in the event of harassment.
By equipping participants with the knowledge and tools to cope with harassment, the session aimed to empower individuals to stand up for their rights and create a safer and more supportive environment for all. The hosts and guest speaker should be commended for their efforts in raising awareness about this important issue.
In conclusion, harassment is a problem that requires collective action and commitment to address. The session organized by Syed Waqi ul Hassan and Saima Ejaz, along with the contribution of Zulqarnain Naqvi, was an essential step towards creating a more informed and aware society. With more such initiatives, we can hope for a future where everyone is treated with respect and dignity.
