PUAN Talks: Session on Addressing Gender-Based Violence Through Sports in Pakistan

Pakistan-U.S. Alumni Network (PUAN) in collaboration with the U.S. Mission in Pakistan, alumni community and sectoral experts has initiated a virtual series of sessions titled ‘PUAN Talks’ by keeping in view the interests of wider audiences. Under its series of #PUANTalks, PUAN conducted a virtual session titled, Addressing Gender-Based Violence Through Sports in Pakistan” on Thursday, August 13, 2020 at 04:00 PM via Facebook live.

Panelists for the session included:

● Samreen Khan, Founder at Girls Cycling Squad, PUAN Islamabad Chapter

● Rukhsar Shahid, International Footballer, AFC ‘C’ License Football Coach, PUAN Karachi Chapter

● Iqra Rehman, Secretary Coordination at Absar Welfare Foundation, PUAN KP Chapter

The session was moderated by:

● Sana Mahmud, Fulbright alumna, Project Officer at Right To Play in Pakistan, PUAN Islamabad Chapter.
