The Gilgit-Baltistan Chapter of the Pakistan-U.S. Alumni Network (PUAN) organized a weeklong mountaineering camp for 20 alumni of the English Access Microscholarship Program March 23-28. Alumni learned proper safety procedures, advanced rescue techniques and emergency first aid. They received guide certification at the end of the camp, which will allow them to help support their families during the summer tourist season. With this certification and their excellent English skills, we expect alumni to be in high demand!
