The Karachi chapter of the Pakistan-U.S. Alumni Network (PUAN) organized a cultural event July 5 with community members from the Lyari neighborhood. The event raised awareness about gender discrimination and promoted the benefits of a violence-free society through music, dance, and short skits performed by teenagers and adults from Lyari. The audience of about 100 Lyari residents enjoyed sharing their cultural traditions to highlight the positive side of their neighborhood. Geo TV and Reuters covered the event.
