Dreams Take Flight: PUAN North AJK Workshop Spotlights US Exchange Programs

By: Shehneela Mazhar

Pakistan-U.S. Alumni Network (PUAN) North AJK Chapter conducted a captivating one-day awareness workshop, centering around U.S. Exchange Program Opportunities, held at Chella Girls Higher Secondary School. The event, pulsating with enthusiasm, welcomed a diverse congregation of over 40 attendees. Among them were dedicated female PUAN members representing various exchange and in-country programs, accompanied by non-alumni students from a multitude of educational institutions in Muzaffarabad.

Leading the charge was Parsa Ehsan, an Exchange Ambassador hailing from the PUAN North AJK Chapter. With finesse and passion, Parsa presented a comprehensive overview of prominent exchange programs, including YES, TECH-Girl, SUSI, SISTER2SISTER, GLOBAL UGRAD, FULLBRIGHT, and several others. Her presentation meticulously delved into the eligibility criteria for each program, providing the attendees with a clear roadmap toward their aspirations.

The core objective of this workshop was to familiarize the participants with the extensive array of exchange opportunities that await them in the United States, as well as within their own country. The workshop sought to equip them with the tools to embrace and leverage these opportunities for their personal and academic growth.

Culminating the event was a dynamic and interactive Q&A session, a platform designed to facilitate deeper understanding and insight. Participants engaged ardently, seeking clarifications and further enlightenment on the intricacies of the programs presented.
